भोजन बनाना और भोजन ग्रहण करना दोनोंको वैदिक संस्कृतिमें यज्ञकर्म माना गया है; परंतु आज कल एक पैशाचिक प्रथा देखनेको मिलती है और वह है दूरदर्शन संचपर रज-तम प्रधान कार्यक्रम देखते हुए भोजन ग्रहण करना ! विशेषकर आजकी माएं बचपनसे ही अपने बच्चेमें यह कुसंस्कार डाल देती हैं और उसका दुष्परिणाम बच्चोंमें विभिन्न कुसंस्कार एवं व्याधियोंके रूपमें देखनेको मिल रहा है !
